Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Explain four steps to establish communication in addiction affected families.
-Describe two kinds of aggression found in addiction affected families.
-List four family roles in addiction.
-Explain how addicts place blame on their families.
-Name the four character defect personality types of family members of addicts.
-Name the four questions involved in the “Trust Yourself First” Exercise.
-Name the three important issues a family must confront to help them obtain treatment.
